Ideal Writing Space – my dream

My ideal writing space is that of a quiet office with the color not being too dark or too light. Perhaps a lavender in color for the walls.  Lavender invokes softness and relaxation, allowing the mind to roam in thought.  Soft lighting throughout the room. Lamp on my desk that is bright enough to view my work. A desk with a chair that is comfortable to allow longer writing time. The more comfortable I am, the more writing I can do! The room would have a oak colored bookshelf or two filled with books from my favorite authors, reference books, and more.  I would also have room for a vase or two filled with my favorite flowers.  My desk will have ample room for my computer and to spread my notes out for quick glancing as I write. My drawers will be completely organized with the tools necessary to get the job done.  I would have a recliner or loveseat in the room for reading.  A blanket would be draped on it.  A small table beside it for a lamp and a burning candle.  There would be a window to view the landscape of the mountains that are beyond the yard.  The yard would have beautiful trees and flowers. Perhaps even a swing.  Perfect view at any time during the year!  Some would say that music helps with the words flowing from thought to paper. My space will have a radio to play music if I choose to. While I would be alone with my writing, I wouldn’t be physically alone. My two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels would be lying by my side or in a dog bed in the room for their comfort.
